Marklein works hard for the people

Dear Editor;
We have read several letters to the editor from writers who tout the interests of the Sierra Club, League of Conservation Voters and other progressive organizations. These organizations are supporting a candidate for State Senate who is focused on liberal special interests, rather than what is best for the people of our communities.
Fortunately for all of us, we can vote for Senator Howard Marklein for State Senate. Howard's special interest is southwest Wisconsin. Howard is a strong conservative State Senator who has worked hard for local people, local interests and local priorities for the last four years. He is working on our behalf and fighting for us every single day.
Whether it's a road sign issue, an economic development opportunity, health care policy improvements or the needs of small, rural school districts, Howard is there.
Howard's opposition will tell you that he hasn't done enough. They criticize his preference to work behind the scenes, rather than in front of the TV cameras. They attack him for working with his party to get things done. This is wrong. We challenge every reader to look at his real record - you'll see the inaccuracies and misinformation they are telling you.
Howard has a proven record of success. He knows that there is more work to be done. He also knows how to do the work. He doesn't get up in front of TV cameras and make big, empty speeches. He doesn't blame others. Howard digs in and gets it done.
Having worked closely for nearly 40 years with a broad cross section of people in the district, and including manufacturing, agriculture, construction and others, we believe Howard is the person this district needs in the State Senate.
Sincerely,
Eric & Irene Rapp, Avoca
DODGEVILLE
