Dear Editor:
I never quite understood the word "disingenuous" till I saw a Howard Markelein ad on TV during the Packers game this Sunday. His bullet points were education, transportation, rural broadband, and access to healthcare.
In actuality, he and his cronies in Madison have run down our schools, disenfranchised our teachers, let our roads and bridges deteriorate, gutted the staff at the UW hospitals, sold off our natural resources to outsiders, and turned down federal funds for healthcare.
Yet he says he's done so much "to get Madison working again for rural Wisconsin families." His words. Mr. Barnum said, "there's a sucker born every minute."
