Vote... it's a choice

Dear Editor;
Choices. We make choices from the day we're born. To cry, or not to cry - eventually, the results have their affect and we learn what action on our part will get the desired result. Maybe crying isn't the answer to meet our needs.
Childhood choices may only affect us and those needs we want met. As we grow older, our choices have a greater affect on others. We can act in a manner that continues to put our own selves first, or choose to take responsibility for others - the needs of our family and friends, the environment, the economy, the well-being of the human race. These are all our responsibility. The key is whether we accept that responsibility, or not. A choice.
Old adages might give us hints as to our choices - "Charity begins at home;" "You are your brother's keeper;" "If you don't do it, who will?"
Choices, millions every day.
Vote or not to vote? A choice.
Vote for him or vote for her? A choice.
Become involved in your community? A choice.
Choose democracy over despotism? A choice.
Base my choices on what I want to hear, or on the truth? A choice.
First, decide to choose. Become informed. Get involved.
Whatever you do, VOTE.
Your choice counts.
