Above is a sample of some of the items Joe and his crew have in the bakery at Stoughton. I would've put a photo of Joe here, but the bakery items look better!

I attended brother Pat's 55th DHS class reunion Saturday night. It has been held at the Quality Inn on the edge of Mineral Point the past three years with Point Foods providing the food via catering -very good! I have always had a special connection with that class, mainly since they were just a year ahead of me and because of Pat of course. Several of them spent a lot of time on our farm helping out with farm work and during the summer a big group came to our farm to "hang out." There are several girls (women) who were/are like sisters to me. Unfortunately several people I was very close to from that class have passed away. There was some trivia about the school, teachers and incidents shared and several talks plus a very interesting question: "Who was your favorite teacher?" Then, of course, there was a lot of reminiscing about years gone by and additions to families.

How about those Milwaukee Brewers? Somehow they managed to get to a tie with the Chicago Cubs atop the National League Baseball Central - thanks to good play by them and some help from the St. Louis Cardinals. They both won on Sunday, forcing a one-game playoff on Monday to see who was the NLC winner and who would play in the "Wild Card" game on Tuesday. No matter what happened (buth the Brewers did win and are NLC Champs!), the Brewers have had a terrific season, way above expectations at the beginning of play in April!

During the summer, when I go to church on Sunday, I more often then not wear a sportcoat and a Brewers' tie. This past Sunday, when it as do or die for the Brewers, I wore my tie all day long - until the game was over. Some people asked why I was wearing it and I responded, "I'm promoting the product!"

On Saturday, I had a chance to attend the Barneveld Fair Day parade, but then I went (with Pat) to the McCaulley Family Farm in celebration of 100 years for the farm. Also celebrating were the Ryans, Leonards, Conways, Toays and Murphys - in all totaling 853 years on their farms.
