There are many reasons to be thankful

By Kasi Greenwood-kgreenwood@thedodgevillechronicle.com

History classes throughout the U.S. have taught students the history behind the first Thanksgiving, which took place in 1621 in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Since then, Thanksgiving has been a time to recognize the many things people can be thankful for. Reasons to be thankful are different for everyone. For me, the list is plentiful.
I have had alot to be thankful for this year. First, my health. My health has greatly improved from last year, due to not taking care of myself as well as I should've been. Taking the necessary steps to get better was a game changer for me.
Next is my family. They have been my rock throughout the last year, and of course throughout my life. Earlier this year, our family welcomed my nephew Garrett Alan, as well as my cousin Wyatt. My hope for these young gentlemen is that they work hard and believe in themselves.
Next is my close circle of friends (they know who they are). Thank you for taking times out of your crazy lives and continue to create wonderful memories that I will forever cherish.
Next to the team at the Dodgeville Chronicle. Thank you for being the reason(s) why I can tell people, "I love my job." Thank you for "putting up with the new girl," and allowing me to be myself.
Finally, to the dedicated readers. Since 1862, The Dodgeville Chronicle has delivered local news not found anywhere else. Because of you, we can continue to do just that.
Have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.
DODGEVILLE
