Dodger Bowl wins Top Six Challenge


The Dodger Bowl Lanes team of Dusty Marklein, Ryan Marr, Mark Ludwig, Adam Esch, Gary James and Tim Tomas won the 24th Annual Sully's Top Six Challenge Bowling Tournament, held recently at Tower Junction Lanes. The tournament, which is sponsored by three southwest Wisconsin bowling centers, brings together the top six average bowlers from, Dodger Bowl, Midway Lanes and Tower Junction Lanes.
In the head-to-head four game team format, Dodger Bowl Lanes finish with 25.5 points (of a possible 40) to win the championship. Tower Junction Lanes was second with 20.5 points with Midway Lanes in third place with 14 points.
Four-game individual series scores for the winning team were: Marklein 806, Marr 838, Ludwig 835, Esch 873, James 828 and Tomas 803, for an average of 207.6 per man per game.
J.D. Fishnick from Tower Junction bowled the high game with 267, followed by Jeff Simmons (Tower Junction) 264 and Wade Harker (Midway) 248. Jeff Simmons rolled the high series with 927, averaging 231.7 per game, followed J.D Fishnick 888 and Wade Harker 879.
The winning team receives a traveling plaque and Top Four Challenge jackets.
