Dodgers 2nd half gives RC the win

As hot as both teams were in the first half they cooled down considerably in the second half.
Dodgeville hit five three pointers, but Richland Center nailed eight in the first half. The Dodgers held a 40-39 edge at the intermission.
Dodgeville's Adam Phillips hit four shots from downtown while Hornet Devon Schmitz hit three and had 13 points in the opening period.
"Both teams started off hot on the offensive end," said Dodger coach Matt McGraw. "We took a one point lead into halftime making 16 field goals and 3 free throws."
The second half saw the Dodgers score just 20 points with RC getting 27 for the win.
"Their offensive rebounds and our turnovers were the difference in the 2nd half as we only attempted 19 field goals," McGraw pointed out.
On the night, Dodgeville had four players hit in double figures led by Bryce Prochaska's 16. Nate James and Phillips both hit 14 while Noah Blalock chipped in 11.
Schmitz led all scorers with 28 points. Jacob Schauf added 14.
"We have to be better in critical situations," McGraw said. "Time and scoring situations must dictate how we play and our decision making was not good late in the game. The effort was there but we have to combine effort with execution."
