Tranel helps Dodgers past Lodi

Dodgeville guard Peyton Tranel hit 14 of his team-high 18 points in the first half to help his team to a 30-21 lead at intermission. That lead held up for a 61-55 non-conference boys basketball win at Lodi Thursday night.
Tranel nailed four three pointers in that first half.
"It was a solid team win," said Dodgeville coach Matt McGraw. We had solid minutes from 10 guys. Peyton played extremely well and overall and had a hot stretch midway through the first half."
Post player Bryce Prochaska took over the second half and poured in 13 of his 14 points. Forward Riley Glonek hit a pair of three pointers and added 10.
"Riley gave us a spark offensively and had a couple huge rebounds late in the game," the coach pointed out. "Bryce had another solid effort with another double double and had a couple huge blocks late to shut down Lodi's best player."
McGraw also said, "Defensive intensity and rebounding continue to be our keys to success. When we do those two things well we look pretty good. It also doesn't hurt to hit shots. We had our best game from a ball control standpoint. We limited turnovers, made the extra pass and had some patience."
Lodi 6'5" senior Jackson Kolinski led all scorers with 22 points. Jack Persike added 19.
