Dodgers win tight one over Lancaster

Adam Phillips hit a pair of free throws to put his Dodgeville team up 66-60 and Brantley Eastman hit one of two from the line to seal the win with :04.6 second remaining.
That meant a three pointer that Lancaster hit at the buzzer didn't mean much as the Dodgers survived over the Arrows 67-66 in a SWC contest Friday night.
Phillips and Brantley Eastman both finished with 18 points to lead the Dodger offense.
Bryce Prochaska, who was surrounded and pushed away from the basket all night long, finished with 14.
"Brantley had a solid performance in all aspects of the game for us tonight," Dodger coach Matt McGraw said. "His one of two from the line sealed the deal."
"Adam, as he has lately, gave us a fast start offensively," McGraw added. "Lancaster sent everybody imaginable at Bryce."
The Dodgers were playing without three players and that meant their rotations didn't happen as usual.
"Our seven man rotation all scored and contributed in many ways," McGraw pointed out. "Dylan (McGraw) gave us a spurt with a three at a needed time. He also was strong defensively."
"Our scramble defense got us three straight turnovers and forced them into taking contested shots enough for us to win the game," he concluded.
Lancaster senior Austin Mumm led all scorers on the night with 26 points. He had 15 of those in the first half and that was half of their points in that frame.
Sophomore Dawson Bowen pumped in 11 of his 16 in the second half. Senior Jordan Reuter hit 11 on the night.
