Warriors roll over Eagles

The highlight of the Six Rivers East girls basketball match-up between Barneveld and Blackhawk was not the outcome but the reaching of the 1000 point mark eight games into her junior year by Warriors sharpshooter Natalie Leuzinger.
Leuzinger became the fifth player in program history to reach the 1000 point mark. She reached that mark six minutes into the game when she buried a three pointer from the corner. She finished the night with 23 points, one more than teammate Hannah Butler who put in 22.
Barneveld had trouble getting the ball up the court and into the hoop in a game they only managed 11 points. Final score was 75-11. The Golden Eagles scored six points the first half and five the second.
It took half the first 18 minutes for the Eagles to score. Sophomore guard Lean Marx put in a free throw and ended up with four in a row. Junior guard Morgan Schult got to the line and made both her attempts.
With 11:16 left in the second half Barneveld got their only two pointer of the night on a basket by Schult.
Raeann Leister added the rest of the points with three of four free throws.
The halftime score was 51-6.
Marx and Schult had four points each and Leister three.
