Card's 60 points not enough

It took a half before Highland's MaddyDrury found her openings but when she did it was lights out for the Cardinal guard.
Drury found the range for 19 second half points and had four three pointers in her 22 point total.
But it wasn't enough to turn back sixth ranked Wauzeka-Steuben as the Hornets rolled to a 78-60 win in the non-conference match-up.
Rauyn and Erin Krachey lit it up for the Hornets with 23 and 17 points. Rauyn had a 15 point second half while Erin stuck in 11.
"They are a very good team," said Highland coach Josh Tarrell. "They rotated well and ended up getting very good looks."
It was a night for the Cardinals that the offense showed up but the defense did not match it.
"We had a minute of great basketball followed by two minutes of not so good," Tarrell said. "It went on like that all night."
But Tarrell saw some good things happen for the Cardinals.
"We got a great effort tonight," he said. "We did not let down and the girls played well."
Freshman Katelyn Esser also got into double figures for the Cardinals with 13.
