Later in the day on Saturday I was at Cobblestone Coffee house in Dodgeville and ran into another former Dodgevilleite. The fellow had a "Not So Quality Bakery" box of "Whatever" in his hands and was ordering coffee. I asked him where he was from and he said about 20 miles from the Canadian border out east, but was heading to Phoenix, Arizona. He also went to school with nephew Ryan. His name is Tim Barstow, whose dad (Dale) was a teacher here back in the day. As soon as he said his name, I recognized him. It has been quite a few years since I had last seen him. He is changing jobs - that is why he's making the move. Also his parents live in Arizona. He was passing through the area and remembered the bakery, so he just had to stop!

I want to say how sad we are to lose the downtown business - Kozelka & Wall. Their last day was Saturday. Bill and Leesa have been very good for Dodgeville and the area not only for their business, but for their involvement in the community. They aren't leaving, just retiring. Good luck in your future endeavors that I'm sure will include your family!

I made it to the Community Christmas Meal Tuesday that is religiously held each year at Culver's in Dodgeville. It's really great for Jim and Judi Nonn to donate their place and cookers for that meal - that serves a lot of people. They also donate custard and other things. Thank You!
