Perhaps your envelope from The United Fund of Iowa County got tossed as junk mail, but your neighbors' needs are not junk. There are children, seniors and families in our county that count on your support. Imagine if 30 groups came knocking at your door asking you to help them with their program. I don't think you'd send them away empty handed. Instead of a few bucks at each knock, you can write one check to the United Fund of Iowa County at P.O. Box 63, Dodgeville, WI 53533 and let them distribute the funds where they are needed. One other advantage to giving to UFIC is that organizations apply by Jan. 9, 2019 explaining their targeted needs. Some needs are ongoing such as Music for Seniors at Folklore Village, summer library programs, or the SUN program. Some are very specific such as a wide wheel chair or a scholarship to Badger Camp or Southwest Tech. You would consider each one worthy of support. When you support the UFIC, your money supports a broad base of needs. UFIC@unitedfundiowacounty.org Let's show our neighbors how valuable they are and give them a boost.
