Dear Editor;
Imagine my surprise upon pulling out onto County Road T to see the bright yellow lines going down the middle of the road.
If you have ever driven on T from H to Barneveld, you get the feeling you are in a video game trying to avoid the potholes and, of course, that wonderful feeling of the washboard effect. I've driven this road for over 35 years. There used to be a very faint white line in some places, but now we have the bright wonderful yellow lines.
I admit they are very nice bright yellow lines. I guess it is to help us stay on the right side of the road while we try to avoid having to get our front ends aligned or to keep from ruining our tires. To me those bright yellow lines are like a prize in the middle of a minefield.
So, every time I drive T to Barneveld, I think how lucky we are to have those nice bright yellow lines. Think how excited we can be if they ever redo the road. In the meantime, at least we will always have the bright yellow lines on County Road T.
