For more years than I can remember, Dodgeville has been known for being one of, if not, the highest priced locations to purchase gasoline in the area.
At long last that has changed due to the fact that a new gasoline convenience station has come to town.
We are now seeing comparative gasoline prices in Dodgeville that we have never before been privileged to. This shows that free market competition is good and people now have reason to purchase gasoline locally rather than waiting to get to Madison or other locations to do so. This is especially true for those who do most, if not all, of their driving locally.
I would hope that people acknowledge this and show their appreciation for the lower gasoline prices by patronizing this station. Without their coming to Dodgeville, I don't believe either of the other retailers would have lowered their prices to the present level, they never did before.
I, for one, say thank you to Casey's General Store.
