I just turned 27! OK, I have dyslexia!

Saturday was supposed to be a big Christmas Day in Mineral Point, but many events were cancelled until this coming weekend due to the rain all day.

Dodgeville held the Santa Breakfast at the Congregational Church that was sponsored by the Women's Club. Due to the weather, attendance was down a little, but everyone who was there had fun - even the volunteer workers (see photo above). Those "workers" are (l-r) Jeff "Potsie" Weber, some guy who stumbled in for a free meal, Terry Carroll, Bob Kratochwill and Dr. Jeff Jacobson (Dodgeville School District Administrator).

A lot of Dodgeville's events were taken inside - the Live Nativity Scene was at Cobblestone as was the Dodgeville High School Choir members. The carriage rides were cancelled due to the rain and wind, but the tree lighting ceremony was held outside by the "Pocket Park" even in the rain. It looks really nice, especially the tree that protrudes across the street - it really stands out!

My gloves still haven't dried out from the Saturday rain - but it would've helped if I hadn't left them in my jacket pocket!

At the breakfast Saturday I had one family tell me that they turned down donuts from "my favorite bakery" just so they had room for the "homemade" ones at the church! I told them I understood perfectly!

Don't forget, I will be at Cobblestone Coffee House in downtown Dodgeville on Saturday, December 8 to take photos with Santa. If Mrs. Claus isn't doing too much baking, she may be there too! The time is from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
