Pustina hurls no no against Seneca


Grace Pustina twirled a no-hitter Thursday as her highland softball team topped North Crawford 8-0 in non-conference play.
Pustina struck out 12 and walked just one in the gem. Her teammates had three errors behind her, but none caused any real harm.
Myah Hennessey and Haley Kleist both had two hits in an 11-hit Cardinal attack. Hennessey drove in two runs as did Pustina (1x3). Lily Tucker, Carlee Kosharek and Maddie Drury had solo rbi's.
Drury, Olivia Welsh, Pustina, Carlee Kosharek and Tucker each collected one hit.
Kleist poked a three bagger and Pustina had a double.
The Cards scored once in the first, five times in the third and twice in the fifth.
The Cardinals dropped Riverdale 16-6 on Thursday, March 22 and edged Seneca on Tuesday,March 27.
Pustina was the winning hurler in both games.
Lily Tucker grounded out for the game winner against Seneca.
