Dodgers top Arrows at the nets


Dodgeville's volleyball team started slow, but came away with a three set win over Lancaster Tuesday night in SWC action.
They took game one 25-19 after trailing 19-18.
Set two was eaisier at 25-13 and they closed things out at 25-17.
Ellie Argall led with eight kills while Madison Stumpf and Anna Rhuland both added six.
Rhuland blocked three shots with Kelsty Anderson and Olivia Argall bothstuffing two.
Stumpf served three aces while Lily Durst had two not returned.
Stumpf also led with12 assists with Grace Borne adding six.
"We just weren't passing well in the first game," said Dodger coach Scott Garthwaite. "We had a nice game blocking though."
He added, "We still need to serve better, but we will take a win any way we can get it."
The students did a "Miracle Minute" to collect molney for the hurricane(s) relief.
The Dodgers host Prairie du Chien Thursday and then take on a tought Mount Horeb team in non-conference play Monday.
They also host another tough SWC team Tuesday in Richland Center.
