Dodger volleyball can't stop Hornets

Dodgeville's volleyball team ran into a tough Richland Center squad Tuesday night, dropping three straight to the host Lady Hornets 25-10, 25-19, 25-11.
"We just really didn't play well tonight," said Dodger coach Scott Garthwaite. "It doesn't help when you have three players injured either."
The Dodgers led game one 5-3 and then Richland Center reeled off 14 straight points.
On the night, Ellie Argall, Grace Borne and JoJo Heimerl each served an ace.
Madison Stumpf had four kills with Borne and Anna Ruhland each coming up with two.
Olivia Argall had three blocks with Borne having a pair.
Stumpf and Sara Mae Polinag both dug eight shots. Alyssa Belling and Hemerl both came up with six while Ellie Argall had five.
The Dodgers go to River Valley Thursday, then to the Iowa-Grant Invitational on Saturday. They host Lancaster Tuesday.
