Holiday stories
By J. Patrick Reilly-preilly@thedodgevillechronicle.com
We like to think our readers enjoy those types of stories as the year winds down and goals are assessed as to how they worked out last year and what new ones we would like to accomplish next year.
Before we go further, we would like to encourage our readers to share their stories about what is special to them, this time of year and for that matter, throughout the year. Email news@thedodgevillechronicle.com or call us at 935-2231.
What we don't need are stories like the one circulating about the chocolate pecan pie made by Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the President's press secretary, for Thanksgiving dinner with her family.
Some of the media took the "fake news" aspect as she had a white backgound behind the pie. Those who got involved wanted more...such as a picture of the pie on the table or a picture with her family around it.
Really?
I feel her job is hard enough working for a person who hates the media. She has to meet with the media every day and spin the news from the White House as best she can. She appears to have a good mind and tries to answer what she can as honestly as she can.
She should have been able to enjoy Thanksgiving with her family in peace.
