night in Level 3 playoff action. They were down 12-0 before half of the
first quarter had expired. They fought back, but it wasn't to be for the Pointers
and they were the final team (in our immediate coverage area) to go down -
two games short of state tournament play. They had a great season, being cochampions
of the SWAL and winning in post season play!

The teams from southern Wisconsin still playing for a chance at Camp Randall
Stadium include: Black Hawk, Waunakee, Sun Prairie and Lodi. Lodi
was one of the teams that River Valley beat last year on their way to Camp
Randall and a silver ball at state.

I have no problem at all with our roundabout at the east end of town EXCEPT
for the people coming from the east and entering it. When I'm going
around it coming from the west and turning to go north onto Bennett Road,
the drivers coming from the east scare me about not stopping. Too many of
them figure I'm going around the roundabout and heading back into town. I
have had several close calls - so I just make sure there isn't any vehicle right
at the intersection as I head north - by slowing down or speeding up!

Dodgeville High School held their annual fall musical last week - Leader
of the Pack. The kids really had a good time performing all the songs and
dances that went along with it. Opening night the crew had to bring out more
chairs as it was almost standing room only! See above photo of some of the
crew from the production taking their final bows.

With temperatures falling into the 30s by this weekend, we know that winter
is almost upon us. The extended forecast says that our first snow will be the
day after Thanksgiving (11-24) with a colder snap the last week of November
(mid to high 20s). That all doesn't sound too bad as long as we get sun. Sunshine
makes a world of difference!
