Along the Ad Routes

thing that means is that I can start eating sweets and desserts again! I have
lost a notch in my belt already during the Lenten season. I probably won't
get to another notch, but the notch I have reached will be easier to navigate!
Actually, I don't crave desserts and sweets, but I do enjoy eating them. Pies
have always been my downfall - and it doesn't really matter what kind of pie
either!

There will be plenty of Easter Egg hunts around the area along with visits
with the Easter Bunny. Make sure you check out our Update and correspondence
sections for yours!

I made a quick stop at the Upland Hills Health annual "Spring Fling" Saturday
night at the Dodger Bowl. There was some pretty good polka dancing
music by Dan Roble's German Band plus some very good finger food.
Above, you can see one of the "younger" dancers!

Spring sports is in the air. The first track meet was indoors at UW-Platteville
last week while soccer, softball and baseball all are slotted to begin this week.
There is still a lot of rain in the forecast, so the schedules that have been
handed out may just not be all that accurate. It's best to check each school
web page pretty much daily.

If you would like to volunteer for the Wisconsin Grilled Cheese Championships
that will be held at Harris Park April 29th, please go to the Dodgeville
Chamber of Commerce website to do so. There should be several thousand
people around for that event and to make it all happen, volunteers are needed
big time!

Another thing to check out on the chamber website is the "Brews Tour"
that is taking place the night before (Friday) the grilled cheese event. It goes
around to businesses at the north end of Dodgeville with buses being the
transportation from place to place to keep passengers safe! That can also be
signed up for on the web.

A few things happening in Mineral Point are Gallery Night this Friday

Opera House on April 7 will be Jeffrey Foucault.
