Barneveld coasts past Johnson Creek

Barneveld boys basketball team had their way with Johnson Creek Tuesday night in an 87-27 win in a D5 Regional quarterfinal.
They jumped to a 47-15 lead by halftime and never looked back.
Mike Zouski hit 16 of his game-high 20 points in the first half.
Matthew Meyers added 13 and Malcom Reed 10 as all 12 Eagles scored.
Johnson Creek's Jamison Rickardt and Zach Johnson both had six points to lead them
"We got off to a slow start and led 8-6," said Barneveld coach Jim Myers. "We let them hit a couple of open shots. As we went along our first half defense got more aggressive. We did a good job taking their two shooters out of their offense."
"It's always nice to get that first game out of the way - you never know," Myers pointed out.
