Wendhausen keys Pointer win

It was Chance Wendhausen night for the Mineral Point boys basketball team as the junior poured in 25 points during a 61-49 SWAL win over Fennimore.
Wendhausen was the lone Pointer to hit in double figures as he scored 11 in the first half and 14 in the second. Jack Warrick was next with nine.
"I thought we played well," said Pointer coach Dan Burreson. "What we need to find now is a level of consistency. That will happen if we bring forth a consistent effort on defense and a consistent mindset on offense. Our defense tonight created more opportunities than we have all year. We created 8 steals with our defense."
The coach added, "Chance Wendhausen played very well on both ends of the floor. I thought it was his best all around performance. Mason Dailey had a big offensive rebound and then back to back threes to extend our lead. Lance Steffes another solid effort with 6 assists and 7 rebounds. Wes Berget and Jack Warrick combined to have a good night on the boards with 5 and 9 respectively."
Fennimore sophomore  Reid Larson led his team with 15 points. Kellen Kenney added 10.
