Hannah Jones poured in a game-high 22 points and Grace Borne added 11, but it wasn't enough overcome Platteville 69-46 in SWC play Friday night.
Jones consistently scored 12 points in the first half and 10 in the second.
Jones was 5x9 from two point range and nailed 2 of 3 from downtown. She also had six rebounds and four steals.
Borne put in four of five from two point and was 1x3 from long range.
Platteville was lead by Sami Martin with 21 and Skye Digman with 19. Martin had 11 in the first half while Digman scored 10 in the second half.
In all, 11 Lady Hillmen scored on the night.
Dodgeville coach Josh Busch said, "The girls really showed how far we have come in this game. The final score does not indicate how well we played against a very good team for 25 minutes. We battled with one of the best teams in the area."
"In the first half we did a good job of handling the pressure that Platteville was putting on us in the full court. Not only were able to handle the pressure we were able to convert on the offensive end and score points when we broke the pressure," he pointed out.

Busch added, "Our biggest struggle was on defense, we just did not match up their size. We struggled to rebound and we gave them too many second chance points."
"We played pretty well for 25 minutes, unfortunately the game is 36 minutes long. Give credit to Platteville, they were able to take advantage of our weak rebounding and stretched out the lead in the second half. I am very proud of these girls and the way we played, looking forward to seeing how we come together down the stretch," the coach concluded saying.
