Dodger boys fall short at Platteville

Dodgeville held a three point lead with five minutes remaining, but couldn't hold it as they dropped a 58-55 SWC decision.
At that point the Dodgers had a couple of turnovers and Platteville held a 58-53 lead with little time remaining.
Dodger junior Bryce Prochaska hit two free throws to cut the lead to three. There was just .05 left on the clock, so it had to be a near miracle happen to tie it.
Prochaska roamed the inside for the Dodgers all night long to the tune of 19 points.
Seven Dodgers scored with senior Houston Stanek the other one to hit double digits with 11.
Platteville's Braeden Neis hit two three pointers and scored 19 points on the night. Donovan Blevins added 16 while Dillon Shinee chipped in 15.
"Our 22 turnover were not good," said Dodgeville coach Matt McGraw. "They had 19 points off of those turnovers while we were only able to get nine off of theirs. Also, they had 42 points in the paint to our 28 - another stat that stuck out."
"Platteville rebounded well and got inside too consistently," he added. "They are definitely an attack team. We didn't handle the ball well either. They had 15 steals to our two."
