Pointer boys take care of Cubans

Junior Chance Wendhausen ripped the nets for 25 points and the Mineral Point boys basketball team throttled Cuba City 65-48 in SWAl action Friday night.
Freshman Isaac Lindsey hit five three pointers and added 19 points while senior Jack Warrick hit 11.
Wendhausen had 12 points in the first half when the Pointers built a 31-21 lead. Lindsey had 11 at that same time.
Pointer coach Dan Burreson commented on the win saying, "Lance Steffes played really well with 8 assists to go along with 11 rebounds. Jack Warrick seemed a lot more like himself in his first game without the facemask. Mason Dailey did a good job of finding the open man. "
"Mason and Jake Gorgen continue to be a good defensive tandem for us," he added. "I continue to be pleased with how steady Wes Berget has been. We continue to get great offensive production out of Isaac Lindsey and Chance Wendhausen."
Cuba City's Blake Robson and Ryan Hoppenjan both had 10 points to pace their team.
