Lemanski wins All Around, D-P wins


Dodgeville-Mineral Point freshman gymnast Miah Lemanski won two events and finished second in two while capturing the All Around in a 130.925 to 127.15 win over visiting Southwestern/Cuba City last week.
Lemanski took the vault with 8.775 and the bars with an 8-5.
She finished second on floor at 9.075 and on beam with a 9.0
That gave her a 35.35 All Around score, topping SW/CC junior Kelsie Goffinet's 34.4.
Goffinet won floor with 9.175 and edged Lemanski on beam with a 9.05.
Dodge-Point's Alyssa Belling was third in AA with 33.875. She was second on bars with 8.35, third on floor 8.725 and beam 8.7 plus fourth on vault at 8.1.
Tessa Bockhop was fifth in AA at 31.3. She was fourth on bars at 8.05, sixth on vault with 7.8, sixth on beam with 7.45, seventh on floor at 8.0.
Elle Honerbaum took seventh in AA at 30.35.
She was fifth on beam with 7.525, sixth on vault at 7.8, seventh on bars with 7.15 and eighth on floor at 8.0.
Katlyn Yingst took fifth on vault with 7.75 and ninth on bars at 6.175.
Li;y McDonald was seventh on beam with 7.25 and 10th on floor at 7.0.
"Miah Lemanksi had an awesome meet, scoring her highest all around score this year," said Dodge-Point coach Julia Oellerich. "She stuck her beam routine, taking second at the meet with a 9.05."
"As we are gearing up for the conference meet and sectionals, the girls are working hard to perfect new skills. Some of the girls were able to add these skills to their routines for the first time against Southwestern," she added.
"After each meet, we are approached by someone from the community who has heard about how well the gymnastics team is doing. They are completely shocked when they see the girls perform first hand," Oellerich pointed out. "These girls continue to impress and amaze us and those that come out to support them. We couldn't be more proud of how well they've done this year."
The Dodge-Point JV wo 79.75 to 39.45.
Jorah Jacobson took the All Around with 21.95.
They swept the beam with Ana Peterson winning at 6.8. She was followed by Yingst with 6.15, Ava Mettlach at 5.85 and Jacobson with 5.25. Camilla Marchesini took seventh with 4.75.
Yingst won floor with 7.5 while Mettlach was third with 6.2, Jacobson fourth at 6.0 and Marchesini fifth with 5.8.
McDonald took the bars top spot with 5.15. Jacobson was third with 4.6.
Peterson had the top vault score at 7.5, followed by McDonald's 6.85 and Jacobson's 6.1.
