Dodger girls slip by Lancaster

Dodgeville's girls basketball team avenged an earlier season loss at Dodgeville Friday night as they took care of Lancaster 46-36.
Hannah Jones scored 22 points and went 8x8 from the free throw line to lead all scorers.
She had a consistent night with 12 in the first half and 10 in the second.
Grace Borne added 13 with 10 of them helping the Dodgers to a 26-21 halftime lead.
"We did a much better job defensively this game," Dodger coach Josh Busch said. "When we played a week ago our rotations were slow and this time our help on the big girls was much better. We were also much more aggressive on attacking the basket. When we play that way we are a much better team, and it showed tonight."
He added, "Our younger kids continue to improve and are older kids are becoming leaders, it is great to see."
Lancaster was led offensively by Kristina Larson with 15 points. She had 11 of her team's 15 in the second half.
