He was born July 15, 1961 to Frederick and Donna (Berg) Segebrecht. Steve loved life! He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends and was always the life of the party with an arsenal of stories he would tell. He had a passion, (no, obsession), for hunting which he shared with his son. He recently returned from a two week hunt in Colorado. His granddaughters were so lucky to have such a fun, witty, and spunky grandpa. He kept them full of sweet treats at all times.
Steve was united in marriage to Debra M. Field on May 15, 1987. They shared a relationship like no other. The two were inseparable and preferred the company of each other over anything else.
Survivors include his loving wife: Debra, his son and best friend: Nic (Angie) Segebrecht, his daughter that he adored: Ashley (Jacob) Athey, four granddaughters: Hayden and Berkley Segebrecht, Lennon and baby girl (due January 30, 2018) Athey, his mother: Donna (Jack) Thompson, siblings: Jeff (Carolyn) Segebrecht, Mike (Mary) Segebrecht, Susie (Mike) Bender, Kathy (Dan) Storhoff, father-in-law: David Field, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred; grandparents: Carl and Bernice Segebrecht, Hector and Vera Berg, mother-in-law: Donna Field and brother-in-law: Dean Field.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Mt. Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Church, 315 E. Main Street, Mt. Horeb, WI with Rev. John Twiton officiating. Visitation will be from 2-7 PM Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the ELLESTAD CAMACHO FUNERAL HOME, 500 N 8th. Street, Mt. Horeb, WI. Seggie knew no stranger and will be missed by everyone he came in contact with.
