Along the Ad Routes

guess it's about time I begin "thinking" about what I'm going to buy people
for the big holiday.

I did my second and "final of the season" Photos with Santa Sunday at Cobblestone
Coffee House in downtown Dodgeville. This is something I have
done in tandem with Dodgeville Area Chamber of Commerce events to help
bring people to Dodgeville during the Christmas season for well over 30
years. I hope it has succeeded.
Both on "Small Business Saturday" and this past Sunday, it was non-stop
with families and youngsters getting their photos taken. There were several
comments, especially by newcomers, that "this is a great thing you do" for
the community! Check out one of those photos above of Santa making a "vehicle
call" for a photo!

Those photos, and ones from November 25, are available for pick-up at the
Dodgeville Chronicle office anytime too - no charge!

We received a note from a subscriber and former classmate of brother Pat
- Mary Boldt. She wrote: "Good morning Pat and Mike, I'm enclosing my
check for $42.00 for another year subscription of the Chronicle. I look forward
to getting it every week. Thank you both, as well as your capable staff,
for doing a wonderful job each week. Keep up the good work! We hope you
have a wonderful Christmas season as well as a great 2018. Sincerely, Mary
Boldt and Phil Tygum - Monona, Wisconsin."

I hear there are a couple of buildings that are changing hands in Dodgeville.
I hope to be able to fill everyone in very soon!

There are a lot of Christmas events going on in Dodgeville and the surrounding
communities this next weekend. Make sure you check the correspondence
columns and our Update section for a pretty good listing!

It could be "iffy" about whether we are going to have a White Christmas
or not. We have a touch of snow on the ground right now and some expected
Monday of this week. Then by the weekend, temperatures may be in the mid
40s, so that snow may be gone. A few days before Christmas, temperatures
are to drop into the mid 20s and there may be a snow shower or two in the
mix. It doesn't look like a lot of snow, however, for the 25th!

If anyone out there is looking to get me a Christmas present - money would
be appreciated - probably in increments of "thousands!"
