The Dodgeville Knights Home Talent Baseball Team suffered their first
loss in their last five games and dropped to 0-1 in the round-robin playoff
series when they lost to a tough Stoughton team Sunday 9-2. Ethan's Shining
Light Foundation helped run the concession stand and we had a very good
day. They also handled the 50/50 raffle. Gabe Smith threw out the first pitch
- that can seen being done in the above photo.

The Knights will try to get back on the winning track this Sunday at 1:00

team!

The Dodgeville Lions Club held their second and final (of the summer)
Antique Show and Flea Market Sunday at Harris Park. All signs pointed to
a very successful day with over 725 people attending and many vendors
going home happy! Lion Jerry Whitford did double duty by taking tickets at
the door and then heading to Centennial Park to announce the Home Talent
playoff game!

Saturday night's Iowa County Cancer Coalition fundraiser was well attended
with a great auction happening to raise funds to help people in Iowa
County who are battling cancer. Hats off to the board that put the event together
and are making things happen!

This weekend is the Iowa County Fair. The old saying: "It's Your Fair, Be
There" holds true as the fair runs mainly on admissions and vendors who set
up to show or sell their product. There will be the crowning of the new
"Fairest of the Fair" plus a lot of surprises and fun for the entire family - plus
you get to meet a lot of new and old friends!

Ridgeway will be holding a tremendous Labor Day celebration this Sunday
staring with a "Run with the Ghost," a parade and a lot of fun with "finger
lickin' chicken" as a real treat.
*****
Highland will also be holding a Labor Day celebration over the weekend.
They also have really good BBQ chicken and will have ball tournaments and
a lot of family fun!
