Help out by enjoying what we have

One of them is Dodgeville Days which takes place this weekend. Activities include two days of vendor and sidewalk sales (Friday and Saturday), displays and food specials. There is also a run/walk sponsored by Upland Hills Health.
Just a lot of fun, laid back activities.
What is nice about these community events is the friendly, family atmosphere where you can see old friends and make new ones.
Why is that important?
Take a look at what has happened in our country and our area this week. Domestic terrorism in Virginia, three people killed in Kenosha, more shootings in Madison. Not an impressive list, is it?
It is time to chill, no matter where you live and what you do. It is time to take a step back, be thankful for what you have and bring back respect, caring and love.
Start with the good, clean activities like Dodgeville Days and any events sponsored by your community. Plan to spend some time at the Iowa County Fair this year. Attend a high school football game, soccer match, volleyball match or cross country run. Support our youth and our adults.
Good things can happen but it has to start somewhere.
Make that somewhere, "YOU."
