Knights lose slugfest to MHPB in NL final

The Dodgeville Knights went to some seldom used pitchers in their Western Section Night League wrap-up at Mount Horeb/Pine Bluff Thursday and lost to the Bluffers 11-5.
Braeden Vivian, Jordan Olson and Nate Michek all took turns pitching against the Bluffers. It was Olson's second appearance of the year and Michek's first time on the mound in two years.
Errors made the score larger than it really was.
Olson went two frames in relief of Vivian and fanned six, four in the first frame he worked. He walked three and gave up four hits.
Vivian struck out three, walked five and spaced seven hits in three frames.
Michek gave up one hit in a shutout one inning of work.
The Knights did hammer out nine hits with Olson a perfect 3x3. Trent Jones was 3x4 and Michek 2x3.
Jordan Larson had the other Knights hit.
The Knight finished the Night League season 3-7.
