Dodge-Point girls win, boys 2nd


The Dodgeville-Mineral Point girls track and field team won by the narrowest of margins Thursday at the Reedsburg Betsy Demerit invitationa.
The boys finished second to host Reedsburg.
The girls won 136-135.5 over Wisconsin Dells.
MacKenzie Hall was a double winner, taking the 800 in 2:45.07 and the 1600 in 5:41.73.
Alyssa Belling won the 100 hurdles in 18.57 while the 4x100 relay team of Jaynie Gorgen, Jaycie Runde, Marissa Parkin and Sara Polinag won in 54.25.
The 4x200 team of Gorgen, Syd Staver, Madison Stumpf and Jalissa Weier won in 1:52.72.

Dodge-Point won the 4x200 relay in 1:38.68 with the team of Joey Recob, John Phelan, Kevin Eisenzimmer and Josh Shepler.
They also took the 4x800 in 9;17.04 with the team of Gerrit Bakker, Declan McGraw, Blaise Watters and Peyton Tranel.
