When the dust had cleared, both Dodgeville Mineral Point boys and girls varsity finished 14th at the 40-team Midwest Invitational Cross Country meet held at Janesville Craig High School Saturday.
Arrowhead won the boys race with 108 points to Neenah's 186.
Then came Middleton 196, Monona Grove 204, South Milwaukee 236, Mac Arthur 257, Madison LaFollette 257, Ocono-mowoc 272, Homestead 279, Sun Prairie 288, Madison Memorial 296, Kenosha Bradford 299, Monroe 347, Dodge-Point 353, Kimberly 355, Janesville Craig 395, Badger 417, La Crosse Logan 421, Darlngton 426, Stoughton 430, Gurnes Warren 464, DeForest 558, Oregon 587, Madison West 643, Elkhorn 686, Beaver Dam 710, Plattevile 845, Westby 850, Boscobel 868, Mount Horeb 890, Whitewater 944, Red Hawks 988, Janesville Parker 989, Whitnall 995, Beloit Turner 1008, Beloit Memorial 1011, Rockford Guilford 1029, Waunakee 1060, Burlington 1086, Wisconsin Dells 1268.
LaFollette's Finn Gessner won in 15:03 with Middleton's Gus New-comb next in 15:23.
Dodge-Point's top runner was Juan Navarro who was 49th in 16:45.
Henry Keith was 56th in 16:58 with Isaac Grunow 58th in 17:00.
Then came Tanner Cullen 66th in 17:06 and Gerrit Bakker 125th in 17:42 to round out the scoring.
The other two varsity finishers were: Brantley Eastman 137th in 17:49 and Jordan May 151st in 17:58.
Junior Varsity finishes were: John Phelan 34th in 18:24, Luke Davis 58th in 18:47, Declan McGraw 72nd in 18:58, Clay Venden 96th in 19:24, John Davis 127th in 19:55, Will Kramer 173rd in 20:59, Owen Miller 186th in 21:24, Kevin Eisenzimmer 441st in 22:18, Dylan Roen 476th in 22:52, Brandon Moldrem 483rd in 23:00, Riley Hall 491st in 23:03, Devin Bricco 552nd in 24:11, Tate Jewell 561st in 24:18, Samuel Angel 630th in 28:33.
The girls varsity race was won by Sun Prairie with 61 points over Arrowhead's 87.

Dodge-Point's Korra Wasley led her team finishing 38th in 20:09.
Then came Mackenzie Hall 74th in 20:43, Lindsay Johnston 94th in 21:02, Cassie McGraw 97th in 21:07 and Hannah Tremelling 100th in 21:08.
Their other two runners were: Josie Jabs 124th in 21:27 and Claire Baldus 125th in 21;28.
Finishes for the JV were: Sydney Judd 60th in 23:15, Haley May 64th in 23:17, Abby Thompson 76th in 23:38, Alyssa Sullivan 109th in 24:36, Macy Ahrens 160th in 27:45, Rachael McGauley 163rd in 27:52, Emma Webb 174th in 29:18.
Dodge-Point also had a boys freshman/sophomore team that finished 14th - just like the varsity teams.
Arrowhead won with 73, folowed by Neenah at 93.
Dodge-Point had 380 with Dylan McGraw leading the way in 18:28 for 42nd.
Other scorers were: Will Borne-Mumm,, 49th in 18:42, David Nagel 51st in 18:42, Nahan Grunow 118th in 20:09 and Grant James 120th in 20:13.
Gabe Hart was 124th in 20:19 and Grant Lawton took 141st in 20:41.
Arrowhead's Elijah Devries won in 16:49 with DeForest's Jacob Burgener close behind in 16:53.
