Dodgers split in SWC action


Cole Sullivan shut down Lancaster Friday and the Dodgeville baseball team took home an 11-0 win in a SWC game.
Sullivan fanned four and walked one in a neat three hitter. Only three Flying Arrows got in position to score with two advancing on errors.
Jack Hellmann and Tanner Bockhop both went 3x3 with Sullivan finishing 3x4. Jordan Larson, Hunter DeVoss and Zack Weber all had one hit.
The Dodgers scored five runs on six hits and were helped by two Lancaster errors in their first at bat. Weber had two rbis in the frame with Larson, DeVoss and Bockhop each getting one.
Hellmann and Weber had rbis in the two run second and Trent Jones scored Bockhop in the third on a ground out. Sullivan singled in a run in the fifth and another scored on an error.
Tuesday was a night of frustration for the Dodgers as Platteville got by them 2-1 in another SWC game.
The Dodgers scored their lone run in the third. Karter Zacijek reached on a fielders choice and scored on a fielders choice by Sullivan.
Singles by Bockhop and Caleb Chappell were Dodgeville's only two hits,
Platteville scored two in the fourth on an rbi single by Riley Miller and an error at the plate.
Larson went four and Sullivan three. Platteville scored their two runs with Larson on the mound. He fanned seven and walked five.
Sullivan struck out three and gave up one hit.
The Dodgers are at Richland Center tonight at host River Valley Friday.
