"We again played good defense but this time we didn't really hit the ball very well. While we had 8 hits, for most of our at bats we didn't hit the ball well," said Dodger coach Gene Van Dyck. "We got all 5 of our runs in the first inning and while we had 2 hits in the inning most of our runs were the result of their pitchers only BB of the game. We had a pretty decent scoring opportunity in the 6th. but the hitters didn't come thru with runners in scoring position with only 1 out."
"Lindsey threw fairly decent for 3 innings but really never had control of her fastball and really had trouble controlling her other pitches," he added. "This really caught up to her in the 4th. She got behind on the hitters and could only get her fast ball across the plate and Prairie's hitters are way too good for that. Nicole pitched the 5th. and 6th. innings and basically ran into the same problem."
