to marry them! I am really hurt and may now never get married! And don't
anyone try to ask me after the fact. It won't work!

Here's a Connie Jacobson Hendrickson FACEBOOK post after we held
our Dodgeville High School Class of 1964 first Friday of the month luncheon.
We had Dodgeville Administrator Jeff Johnson as a special guest. He talked
briefly about the upcoming school referendum and answered several questions.
"Another sucessful luncheon at the Red Room yesterday with 32 in attendance.
Dr. Jeff Jacobson, the School District Administrator, gave us a brief
summary of the referendum on the remodeling of the high school. A good
share of those attending the luncheon each month are from the Class of '64 .
We did not intend to be rude but when he mentioned the school was 50 years
old, we had to correct him. This spring it will be 52 years since the class of
1964 walked through the gym to the high school band playing Pomp and Circumstance.
We were the FIRST CLASS to graduate from the "new high
school." Even though we had good times in the "old school" on Chapel/Merrimac
Street, do we have a special place in our hearts for the "new school,"
you bet we do! Does the building need improvements after 50 plus years, yes
it does, so it's important to get out and vote on this referendum on April 5th!"

Wow! We have two from our coverage area going to the WIAA Girls State
Basketball Tournament starting Thursday in Green Bay. For the first time,
Mineral Point will make an appearance in Division 4. They have had an
amazing run this season and will be hoping to bring the Gold Ball back to
the Mineral Point School!

Then, in Division 5, the Barneveld team will be making its fourth consecutive
trip to state and the Resch Center and will be looking to bring back its
third straight Gold Ball. Boy that really says a lot for that program that was
formerly under the direction of Jim Myers and now is in the hands of Doug
Pickarts and Company!

Good Luck to both of those fine teams!

The Barneveld boys basketball team won a D5 regional championship Saturday
night. Now they enter sectional play this weekend in hopes of making
a trip to the Kohl Center in Madison at the state tournament the following
weekend!

A group that does't really get a lot of publicity, but will be performing at
the Resch Center during halftime of the Barneved game(s), is the school's
dance team. Check out the photo above of them performing at the sectional
final game!
