Time to roll up our sleeves

By J. Patrick Reilly-preilly@thedodgevillechronicle.com

When I was a kid on the farm we had a saying that it was time to roll
up our sleeves and go to work.
And guess what? We did.
And when we were done we had the satisfaction of a job well done.
That advice may just be what America needs right now.
Once again, it is time to roll up our sleeves and go to work.
The recent atrocity that happened at the night club in Orlando is something
that we as a country need to work on right now. It is time to realize
that our shores have been infiltrated by people who want to destroy from
within. They hate us and have no issues giving up their life to take some
of ours.
It is time to be observant. It is time to protect each other. Roll up our
sleeves and go to work.
Were those who died targeted for their sexual orientation? That question
does not need a yes or no answer but rather a WHY?
We need to roll up our sleeves and be tolerant of others through acceptance.
Our country is being bullied and the unfortunate thing is we can find
bullying in our schools and in our society from within. Passiveness when
someone is being bullied in not acceptable. We have to roll up our sleeves
and stop this too.
One more thing...why did the political aspect have to come into this?
Who cares what the politicians think about this tragedy? It is not time to
seek votes. It is time to grieve.
It is time to roll up our sleeves and go to work.
