Panthers assist themselves to win over Eagles

The first 17 points of the game that Iowa-Grant put on the scoreboard in the Fennimore gym were unanswered as the Panthers rolled to a 74-52 win over the Golden Eagles in a key SWAL game.
Part of the big run was keyed by some can't miss shooting but the other part was the defense.
And the defense was what pleased coach Toby Tripalin.
"Our defensive intensity is determining our success," Tripalin said.
It was a case of Brayden Johnson and Isaac Anderson getting the Panthers rolling and Caleb Hill catching fire right after. Anderson had 21 to lead the Panthers with Collin Price, playing strong under the basket, adding 15 along with 12 from Johnson and 10 from Hill.
"Our execution the first half was fun to watch," Tripalin said. "I think there was only one basket scored without an assist during that time."
The Panthers also got eight points from Jack Reeves off the bench.
"He came in and played well," Tripalin said.
Freshman Reid Larson kept the Eagles in it early with eight of his 10 points the first half.
"He is only a freshman and will be a good one," Tripalin said.
Liam Kinney led Fennimore with 14.
With eight minutes gone in the second half the Panthers had pushed the lead to 40 points and Tripalin went to the bench.
"Everyone got to play," he said. "It was good to get everyone in and watch them play so well together."
"It was a night of unselfish play."
