Prochaska, Larson key win

"It wasn't the play we were going to run, but that one wasn't there,' said Dodgeville boys basketball coach Matt McGraw.
Instead of going out to the wing, the Dodgers settled for sophomore post Bryce Prochaska with the ball at the top of the key. He drove the lane and put up a layup with 1.5 ticks on the clock that went in and gave the Dodgers a 55-53 win over Mount horeb in non-conference play Monday night.
The Dodgers held a 23-10 lead in the first half, but the Vikings began playing more physical and went on a 12-0 run for a 23-22 Dodger lead at the intermission.
The Vikings came out and went up by as many as nine in the second half, but with about 6:00 remaining the Dodgers found their niche going on a 15-4 run.
With the Vikings paying a lot of attention to senior guard Trent Jones, he found senior Jordan Larson open several times for three point attempts. He answered by nailing four treys in the half and finishing with a team high 21 points, 18 coming in the second frame.
Jones added 12 with Prochaska finishing with 10.
The Vikings were paced by Max Meylor's 24 points while Terek Nesheim came up with 15.
"Jordan Larson hit some huge threes with several assists coming from Trent," McGraw said. "Jordan Olson also made a big three that gave us our first lead since halftime."
"The key to our comeback was that our guys kept themselves together under some frustrations whether it be a call that didn't go our way or a good play by Mount Horeb and also that we responded to their physical play," he added. "This was a big win against a quality team."
The Dodgers host Richland Center Thursday and Evansville in non-conference play Tuesday.
