Get outside and play!
By Brooke Bechen-bbechen@thedodgevillechronicle.com
Listening to this father-son duo was really neat; they both shared the same passion for creating an outdoor recreational activity that could be enjoyed by both children and their families. Sure, we have Governor Dodge State Park where families can hike and swim, but like Reed stated in the article, there isn't a lot of places where kids can ride their bikes to aside from the various parks in the city.
I admit, I'm a terrible disc golfer. I have played (okay, mostly watched others play) on the two courses in Platteville and have noticed that there are always people playing at both of these courses. They are used quite heavily by people of all ages, young and old.
This disc golf course will give area residents another thing to do outside during the warm months. And if disc golf isn't your thing, get outside and do something, whether it's walking, jogging, biking, whatever. Spring is right around the corner and this is my plea to our readers to get outside and play!
