Pointer boys stopped by Boscobel

Boscobel outscored Mineral Point 34-23 in the second half and went on for a 63-51 SWAL conference win Thursday night.
Bulldog Dallas Marks scored 15 of his team-high 17 points in the second half with teammates Tommy Monroe getting 8 of his 14 and Ryan Latham 5 of his 11.
Chance Wendhausen connected on 14 of his game-high 20 in the first half with Dylan MacGilvra coming up with 8 of his 14, connecting four times from three point land on the night.
The Pointers only trailed 29-28 at the intermission.
"We played well at times, but it wasn't the kind of consistent effort it takes to win in this league," said Pointer coach Dan Burreson. "We have been most successful when we get a number of different guys to contribute in different ways. We did not get enough of that tonight."
He added, "Chance continues to play well and he works to get better everyday. Dylan has shot the ball very well over the last several games."
"We received some good minutes off of the bench by Nathan Eisenzimmer and Logan Bidling-maier," Burreson said. "We need to keep working to improve. We want to be better in February than we were in January."
The Pointers travel totake on a tough Darlington team Friday night.
