Panthers get Cubans

With Cuba City spending time defending Isaac Anderson, Iowa-Grant's boys basketball team got a lift from long distance.
As in beyond the three point arc.
Those points came courtesy of Brayden Johnson who drilled five three pointers and his 19 points led the Panthers to a 43-39 win in Iowa-Grant's quest for their first SWAL title since 1994-95.
Johnson hit three long range bombs the first half and added two the second 18 minutes. Collin Price slipped in seven points, all in the second half as the Panthers overcame a 23-17 halftime deficit.
Four players scored all the points for Iowa-Grant as Caleb Hill got nine and Anderson eight.
Ben Burkholder led Cuba City with 17 points, 11 of those in the first half.
The Panthers shored up the defense the second half, holding the Cubans to 16 points.
