Dodger boys handle Cuba City


Dodgeville's boys basketball team survived 14 second half points by Cuba City's Chris Moorand a Cuban charge for an 83-65 non-ocnference win Monday night.
Mor buried a pair of three pointers to help his team get to within nine in the second frame.
"We got a cuople of big stops and put it away with free throws by Trent (Jones)," said Dodger coach Matt McGraw.
Jones hit four from the line down the stretch and buried 10 of 12 on the night finishing with a game-high 27 points. He had 17 of those in the high scoring second half, won by the Dodgers 45-40.
"The first 10 minutes of the second half w played very goog basketball," McGraw said. "We were up 22, but then the next eight minutes we played like the game was already over. We need to be able to put teams away."
Isaac Nagel hit four threes on the night and finished with 16 points, 10 in the second half. Bryce Prochaska had 8 of his 10 points in the second half.
"Trent had a bunch of assists and rebounds to go with his soring," McGraw pointe dout. "Isaac really stepped up offensively tonight and Bryce played well in the second half. He owned the oards and finished well."
Cuba City was led in scoring by Ben Burkholder's 22 points.
