Cardinals top Seneca softballers


Jessica Kosharek and Karen McMannes teamed up to stop Seneca 8-4 for Highland's first softball win of the season.
Kosharek worked five frames and fanned five, walked three and gave up two runs (one earned) on four hits.
McMannes struck out three, walked one and gave up one hit and two runs (one earned).
McMannes also was 1x2 with an rbi double in the three run fifth.
Bailee Rose went 2x5 and Morgan Kosharek hit a solo homer in the fifth. She was 2x2 and also doubled.
Haley and Jessica Kosharek both had rbi in the first.
"It was a cool night, but we played better than last night," said Highland coach Rick McMannes.
