IG, P/A in XC invitational


Iowa-Grant and Pecatoni-ca/Argyle both competed in the Small School Division of Baertschi Invitational Cross Country Meet held at Albany Saturday.
Hillmen Vince Momot won the race in 16:44 with teammate Dan Iselin next in 16:50.
Albany won the Small Schools Division with 58 to Poynette's 62 and Lancaster's 97. Iowa-Grant was 10th with 223 and Pec/Argyle 13th with 444.
Individually or I-G William Mclure was 21st in 18:58, Ben Connolly 30th in 19:15, Easton Dobson 58th in 20:28, Jacob Smolan 81st in 22:37 and Wyatt Reeves 83rd in 22:49.
Pec/Argyle finishes were: Cade Bush 78th in 22:09, Tristan Wager 80th in 22:25, Caleb Carr 82nd in 22:45, Dakota Hoffman 85th in 23:13, Logan Swearingen 86th in 23:28, Marcel Timm 90th in 26:22.
In JV action, Iowa-Grant's Mason Moon was 165th in 24:43 and Ben Amend took 169th in 25:54 while Pec/Argyle's Hunter Carr was 183rd in 30:34.
Monona Grove won the Large School Boys Division with 61 points to Stoughton's and Platteville's 63.
The Pec/Argyle girls were 11th with 256 points with Albany winning the Small Schools Division with 54 and Marshall runner-up at 64.
Viking finishes were: Josie Penniston 21st in 22:51, Samantha Erickson 52nd in 25:47, Hannah Jones 53rd in 25:59, Adriana Johnson 64th in 27:30, Jessica Erickson 66th in 31:53.
I-G finishes were: Angela Melby 71st in 23:37, Caitlyn Fowell 114th in 25:51, Liz Biddick 125th in 26:51, Makayla Dicken 133rd in 28:37.
JV-McKenna Marshall 119th in 29:46, Jamie Dilley 129th in 31:37.
