Dodgers hammer Fennimore

Jordan Olson pounded out a pair of doubles, had four hits in five trips and drove in four runs to key a 13-6 Dodgeville win over Fennimore in a non-conference baseball game Thursday.
Olson doubled in a run and later scored in a six run fourth inning.
Levi Nagel started the inning with a double, took third on a fly out and scored on a sac fly to right by Brian Simmons. Jordan Larson then walked and scored on Olson's double. Olson came home on a single by Cole Sullivan and three straight walks, the last one to Caleb Chappell, sent in another tally. Nagel got his second hit of the inning, a single, that accounted for two more runs.
Chappell reached on an error and scored on a wild pitch in the third. Larson unloaded another double to send in two more runs and move the score to 9-1.
Hunter DeVoss, who was moved up to varsity to provide another arm, also did the job with his bat, singling in Zack Weber who had singled earlier and advanced when Karter Zaijeck was hit by a pitch.
Weber and Chappell had rbis in the fifth sending in Olson who had singled and Sullivan who coaxed a walk.
The final run came in the sixth when Olson struck again, this time singling in Simmons who had doubled.
While Olson paced the hitting it was DeVoss who took the mound in the second after starter Trent Jones tweaked his arm and pitched five strong frames. He spaced seven hits, giving up three runs while walking three and striking out six.
Weber took over in the seventh and shut the door after giving up one run.
Weber and Nagel were 2x2 and 2x4 for multiple hit games. DeVoss, Simmons and Sullivan had the other three hits.
The Dodgers also turned a double play that went Olson to Sullivan to Larson and they finished the game with only one error.
