The Wisconsin Hoops Select 16U Boys/Chandler AAU Boys Basketball Team took home 1st Place at the 7th Annual Mr Minnesota Basketball Showcase held in Mankato MN June 19-21.
Wisconsin Hoops Select posted a 2-1 pool play record earning them a #2 seed in the Gold Division for bracket play. The only loss they had in the event was to the Minnesota Swish (49-47 OT). This setback was avenged in the Gold Division Championship Game with a 67-60 win over Minnesota Swish.
Pool play results were: WI Hoops Select 73 Minnesota Nice 54, WI Hoops Select 79 Minnesota Academy 58, Minnesota Swish 49 WI Hoops Select 47 (OT).
Bracket Play: Quarterfinal: WI Hoops Select 44 Minnesota Basketball Academy 42, Semifinal: WI Hoops Select 80 Minnesota Suns 46 (WHS made (16) 3 point FGs (event record), Championship: WI Hoops Select 67 Minnesota Swish 60.
